Mission & Vision

Mission: LIST’s mission is twofold. LIST contributes to Luxembourg’s reputation through our participation in several targeted research areas among the best RTOs in Europe, and by doing so, accelerate the country’s socio-economic development. Put in a nutshell, LIST contributes strongly to the building of tomorrow’s Luxembourg.   Vision: Luxembourg is an ideal laboratory for leveraging Information and Communication Technology (ICT), eco innovation and material science in order to tackle tomorrow’s economic and societal challenges. It fosters diversity, particularly in terms of ideas, languages and nationalities, while it invests in technology-driven collective intelligence. Moreover, the country’s three-faceted industrial, financial and space-oriented culture has enabled it to devise a progressive legal framework in many domains, suitable even for developing the future use of mining resources in space.
