Mission & Vision

Mission: Maintaining an industrial activity is essential to the future prosperity and stability of Switzerland. It creates jobs in manufacturing as well as in engineering and research. Because of its very high labor-cost, the Swiss manufacturing industry is left with one choice: innovate and specialize in micro-engineering which is in the heart of our major comparative advantage-Swissness. In addition, micro-engineering is an enabler for the digital economy by producing the smart systems that will leverage sustainable progress (IoT, Industry 4.0, smart cities…). In a SME-driven economy like Switzerland, Technology development and transfer is one major bottleneck in the innovation process.   Vision: Development and transfer of microtechnologies to the industrial sector – in Switzerland, is a priority – in order to reinforce its competitive advantage. Also, its vision is the cooperation agreements with established companies and the support of the creation of start-ups.
