The Strategic Forum on IPCEI published its report on the Strategic Value Chains
Established in March 2018, t
he Strategic Forum on Important Projects of Common European Interest (IPCEI) is a high-level expert group consisting of 45 members (including EARTO President and CEO of VTT, Antti Vasara) and representing Member States, industry and the research community who identify key strategic value chains in Europe and propose a common vision for joint actions and investments between EU, Member States and industry.
The Forum has just published its report on strengthening the Strategic Value Chains for a future-ready EU Industry. The report identifies enabling actions for six selected
strategic value chains, which are: Connected, clean and autonomous vehicles; Smart health; Low-CO2 emission industry; Hydrogen technologies and systems; Industrial Internet of Things; and Cybersecurity.
It also calls for an agile governance process to monitor technological and industrial developments, to identify emerging strategic value chains and to monitor and evaluate the progress of work on these value chains.
