Researchers & Industry present Advanced Materials 2030 Manifesto to Commissioner Gabriel

On 7 February 2022, industry and research representatives signed the Advanced Materials 2030 Manifesto and presented it to Commissioner Mariya Gabriel. This Manifesto aims to improve collaboration and encourage the use of advanced materials. The goal is to create a strong European Materials ecosystem that “drives the green and digital transition as well as a sustainable inclusive European society through a systemic collaboration of upstream developers, downstream users and citizens and all stakeholders in between”.

Following the publication of this Manifesto, whose vision was positively welcomed by Commissioner Gabriel, the Commission intends to develop a roadmap for advance materials in the summer of 2022 in collaboration with various experts and stakeholders.

EARTO Members Fraunhofer, CEA and INL have been among the signatories of this manifesto and have thus contributed to the strengthening of a European Materials Ecosystem as a driver for the twin transition.
