Mission & Vision
Mission: INEGI is an Institute devoted to the development of new technological solutions, located in the University – Industry interface and focused on the technological research and innovation activity and technology transfer oriented to the industrial sector. It was born in 1986 in what are today the Departments of Mechanical Engineering and Engineering and Industrial Management of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto. With the legal status of Private Non-Profit Association, the status of “Public Utility” and its own team of more than 200 employees, INEGI is an active agent in the consolidation of a competitive model based on knowledge, technology density of new products and processes and technology-based innovation.
Vision: To grow, to be the best in converting knowledge into value and to confirm our strong institutional identity as a technological partner for the industrial companies.
