Mission & Vision

Mission: Metrosert supports Estonian businesses in the development of knowledge-intensive products and services by providing infrastructure, expert knowledge and networks in six fields: metrology, health data, autonomous vehicles, biorefining, drone technologies, hydrogen technologies. We act as a bridge between businesses and science, foster cooperation and contribute to sustainable growth. Metrosert supports the global competitiveness of Estonian businesses by helping them keep up with global challenges, carrying out innovative ideas and, most importantly, promoting exports. Vision: Metrosert aims to support the future of Estonian industry by fostering collaboration between researchers and businesses. Its key objectives are: -Promoting a knowledge-based economy and creating new opportunities for Estonian businesses to develop sophisticated, high value-added products and services. Assisting companies in launching innovative ideas and entering global markets through revolutionary products and services. – Eliminating the shortage of applied research in Estonia and the lack of a dedicated applied research center, as highlighted by a European Commission analysis. – Directly supporting the technological challenges of businesses, thereby promoting innovation and strengthening the Estonian economy and its global competitiveness. – Focusing on forward-looking areas with the greatest potential for the Estonian economy, such as biorefining, drone technologies, autonomous vehicles, hydrogen technologies, and the use of health data. – Providing a platform that enables the scaling of research results for industrial use. Metrosert aims to achieve this vision by offering tailored research and development support to help companies innovate more efficiently and enter new markets. It follows the principles of sustainable growth and works with various stakeholders to solve economic, social and environmental challenges.
