Horizon Europe Budget Increased by EU Institutions’ Political Agreement on the MFF
After long negotiations, the Council and the European Parliament have reached this afternoon a political agreement on the next Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) and recovery package. It complements the comprehensive financial package of €1,824.3bn negotiated by the Council in July, which combines the MFF (€1,074.3 billion) and Next Generation EU (€750bn).
The political package agreed includes a targeted reinforcement of EU programmes by €15 billion, including Horizon Europe and EU4Health.
EARTO welcomes this political agreement especially as it raised the attention given to RD&I including Horizon Europe and EU4Health, and is looking forward to a timely start of the Programmes.
EARTO also thanks the European Parliament to champion RD&I.
