Europe’s 8 Joint Undertakings’ publication on cutting-edge research in Europe
The Joint Undertakings (JUs), Europe’s eight public-private partnerships, recently launched their publication on Innovation in action – Joint Undertakings for cutting-edge research in Europe, aiming at demonstrating their strategic achievements under Horizon 2020 Programme. In total, all Joint Undertakings – Clean Sky 2, BBI (Bio-based Industries), ECSEL (Electronic Components and Systems for European Leadership), FCH (Fuel Cells and Hydrogen), F4E (Fusion for Energy), IMI (Innovative Medicines Initiative), SESAR (Single European Sky ATM Research), and Shift2Rail – received €5.26bn, or 10% of Horizon 2020 funding, in 50 countries with more than 4,000 participants.
The aim of the JUs is to deliver cutting-edge research and innovation, increase investments that can support the Green Recovery, enhance EU competitiveness, while bringing real added value to Europe’s economy and strengthening the link between industry and research.
