European Commission unveiled the Board’s composition of EU Missions
The Chairs and the members of the five EU missions boards have been announced by the Commissioner for R&I Ms Gabriel on 6 September 2022. EARTO warmly congratulates Prof. Dr. Georg Teutsch, Scientific Director of the Helmholtz-Centre for Environmental Research, among other newly elected members. The aim of the EU Missions is to bring concrete solutions to the challenges that Europe is facing. After a two years pilot stage from 2019 to 2021, each Mission is composed of fifteen experts including a Chair with a mandate until 2025. All Missions’ Boards’ experts will raise citizens’ awareness, advise on the actions of the Missions’ implementation plans and build on the work made during this pilot phase.
