EIC report on A Robust Innovation Ecosystem for the Future of Europe
On 29 September 2020, the
European Innovation Council (EIC) published its new report on “
A Robust Innovation Ecosystem for the Future of Europe“. This report presents the result of a series of online consultations and workshops launched by the EC with representatives of innovation ecosystem stakeholders, such as RTOs. Their aim was to increase the cooperation between the EU institutions and its citizens and, in parallel, to enrich and inform the strategic planning of the Horizon Europe programme. The report sets forward policy recommendations to the relevant policy makers in the fields of innovation and the innovation ecosystems. According to the report, the challenges are grouped in three major pillars: connectedness of the stakeholders, competence and talent, and capital. Some challenges and actions belong to all three and are treated as crosscutting challenges.
