EIC Advisory Board published its vision for the EIC

On 27 April 2020, the European Innovation Council (EIC) Advisory Board, made up of world-leading researchers, investors, entrepreneurs and innovation experts, published its vision for the EIC, underlining the need to encourage and support game-changing innovators, researchers and investors to direct resources into high-impact ideas and investments. The EIC Advisory Board is also calling for a sufficient budget “at least at the EC proposed level of €10billion (in Horizon Europe) to crowd in €30-50 billion impact investment”. According to the EIC Advisory Board, the EIC should be globally recognised as an innovation flagship for Europe, which can support the development of novel solutions to challenges caused by the COVID-19 crisis, through its EIC Pilot.   This is the first public statement of the EIC Advisory Board, aiming at providing further advice for the implementation of the vision of the EIC. The mission of the EIC Advisory Board is to give strategic advice to the EC for the implementation of the current €3 billion pilot (2018-2020) and the launch of the full EIC under the Horizon Europe Programme (2021-2027).   Public statement of the EIC Advisory Board More information
