EC launched the European Clean Hydrogen Alliance

On 8 July 2020, the European Commission (EC) officially launched the new European Clean Hydrogen Alliance at its kick-off meeting, aiming at having an ambitious deployment of hydrogen technologies by 2030, which will bring together renewable and low-carbon hydrogen production, demand in industry, mobility and other sectors, and hydrogen transmission and distribution. This alliance will enable Europe to build its global leadership in this domain and support its commitment to reach carbon neutrality by 2050.   The European Clean Hydrogen Alliance was announced as part of the new EU industrial strategy in March 2020. According to the EC, the European Clean Hydrogen Alliance is open to all public and private actors with activities for renewable or low-carbon hydrogen that are ready to actively contribute to the objectives set out in the declaration of the alliance. The organisation, willing to join the alliance, will need to sign the declaration, agreeing on committing to its shared vision and to contributing to its operational work. The online form for joining the alliance will be available soon.   More information
