EC Conference “The Digital Cities Challenge” on 5 June 2019 in Brussels
The European Commission hosts on 5 June 2019 a high-level conference on “The Digital Cities Challenge: a Strategy for EU Cities in the 21st Century” to discuss about the future role of cities in the implementation of key EU policies and the development of a strategy for Intelligent Cities in the 21st century. The conference aims at discussing:- trends, shaping urban areas in Europe and opportunities offered by advanced technologies to transform cities into catalysts of smart and sustainable growth;
- inspiration and collaboration for the future Intelligent Cities strategy;
- success stories of the Digital Cities Challenge initiative, acknowledging the achievements of the participating cities and discuss the main lessons learned.
