EARTO represents the interests of Europe’s RTO community towards European institutions. It regularly dialogues with key persons in the European institutions, produces policy papers and press statements, testifies before official committees and evaluation panels, participates in expert groups, etc. In addition, EARTO offers its members information services and opportunities for professional networking and mutual learning.

Working Groups

Our Working Groups comprise experts from member organisations who assist the Secretariat in formulating policy positions on technically complex issues, such as the EU State Aid Framework for R&D&I and Horizon 2020’s financial rules. These groups also offer the members opportunities to network and benchmark their services, processes and performance against other members. Working Groups active in 2016 include: table_wgs

Advice and Assistance

In addition to its standard services to members, the Secretariat helps members with special requests, e.g. obtaining policy documents, identifying Commission policy officers, interpreting Commission policy announcements, explaining Commission procedures, etc.
