COST Asks for Doubling its Budget in Horizon 2020
COST, the intergovernmental framework funding networking activities in Science and Technology, has requested in a position paper released in March to double its budget in Horizon 2020 up to €560 million. Currently, FP7 contribution to COST totals €240 million for the period 2007-2013. The proposed increase would be used to expand the number of COST Actions funded and to extend the scope in order to include innovation and societal challenge-oriented topics and increase the international cooperation dimension.
