MEPs Christian Ehler and Teresa Madurell Appointed Rapporteurs for Horizon 2020
On January 20th the European Parliament’s ITRE Committee has officially appointed the rapporteurs and shadow rapporteurs for the Horizon 2020 dossier. Ms. Teresa Riera Madurell (S&D – Spain) will be the rapporteur for the Regulation establishing H2020 and Mr. Christian Ehler (EPP – Germany) for the Rules for Participation.
The complete list of names is:
• Horizon 2020 Establishing Regulation: rapporteur: Riera Madurell (S&D), shadows: Ehler (EPP), Johansson (ALDE), Ford (ECR);
• Rules for Participation: rapporteur: Ehler (EPP), shadows: Glante (S&D), Johansson (ALDE), Ford (ECR);
• EIT Strategic Innovation Agenda: rapporteur: Matias (GUE), shadows: Van Nistelrooij (EPP), Merkies (S&D), Johansson (ALDE), Chichester (ECR);
• EIT Regulation: Lamberts (Greens), shadows: Tsoukalas (EPP), Merkies (S&D), Johansson (ALDE), Chichester (ECR);
The rapporteurs and shadows of each document will now work together to establish a draft report. The reports should be presented to the European Parliament and open for amendments around end May-beginning on June.
